What are Word Mercury’s credentials and experience?

Evan Peterson, the primary copywriter, editor, and writing coach for Word Mercury, received a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the Florida State University. He has ten years’ experience editing and coaching writing, nine years’ experience teaching composition at the college level, and four years’ experience teaching creative writing.

What are your rates?

For document creation and/or editing, please contact us with a page count and sample to receive a customized quote.

In-person and tele-consultations for coaching are $50 per hour for enrolled students and $100 per hour for all other clients (businesses, special occasions, etc.).

For all other services, including web copywriting and editing, special events, etc., please contact us with a description of your event or project for a customized quote.

Are you available to work with clients outside the Seattle area?

Yes! For written projects, we are available to work with clients anywhere in the world via email. For hourly writing coaching, we can meet with domestic clients by phone or favorite chat app (Skype, Google Hangout, etc.) and with international clients via chat app. 

Do you do ghostwriting?

Yes. Ghostwriting varies in rate and depends on the scope of your project. Contact us with a description of your needs to receive a customized quote.

Do you design books and/or websites?

We do not currently offer graphic design or website construction. We do know several talented book and web designers to whom we can refer you.
